Are Swansea tips open?
All of our centres are open 8.30am – 5.00pm 7 days a week (closed from 1.00pm on Christmas Eve and all day on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).
Are the tips open in Wales?
Recycling Centres are permitted to stay open in Wales under tier 4 as long as people adhere to the rules over social distancing, hand sanitising, pre sort as much as possible, etc. North Wales Police have been notified that the sites remain open.”
How do you dispose of plasterboard in Swansea?
Plasterboard can be disposed of over the weighbridge at the Baling Plant in Swansea enterprise park, next to Llansamlet Recycling Centre. The minimum disposal charge is £10.
Do I have to book a slot at my local tip?
To visit one of our household waste recycling centres (HWRC) you must book a slot in advance. Following the Government’s announcement for the lifting of restrictions from 19 July, you will still need to book to access the sites, and will be able to visit the HWRCs to the same extent as before COVID restrictions.
Can you take a van to the tip Flintshire?
No. One permit is allowed per household for a vehicle or a trailer, not both. A van or any other vehicle type requiring a permit cannot bring a trailer to site. We hold a current vehicle permit but are having work carried out on the premises and will need more visits.
Can I take plasterboard to the tip?
For individuals the legislation means you’re required to separate and segregate plasterboard from other waste before heading to your local tip. Most local household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) offer plasterboard disposal and recycling but may have restrictions and possibly even charges in place.
