You’ll receive college credit for earning acceptable scores on Advanced Placement (AP) exams. Students entering UIUC in summer 2021, fall 2021, or spring 2022 can see what their scores are worth by reviewing our list below.
How does AP credit work at UIUC?
Any credit you earn from the AP exams is automatically posted to your academic record upon receipt of your AP test scores. If you did not originally request that your test results be sent to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, it is not too late to do so.
How many AP credits does UIUC?
This law states that all public universities and all public community colleges in the state of Illinois must begin awarding college credit to students entering the university in the 2016-2017 academic year or later for scores of 3, 4, and 5 on every AP exam.
Do I have to send my AP scores to UIUC?
Both AP and IB test scores must be sent electronically to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It may be helpful for you to bring a copy of your AP or IB test scores to New Student Registration. This will let academic advisors know what credits you’ve earned.
What AP scores does Cornell accept?
Cornell accepts AP® scores of 3, 4, & 5 for course credit.
What AP scores does University of Chicago accept?
We accept scores of 5 on most Advanced Placement (AP) exams and of 7 on certain International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher-Level examinations for credit; other scores may be accepted in particular subjects. Learn more about accelerated course credit here.
Does UIUC need official test scores?
If you enroll at UIUC, you’ll be required to submit official scores for all scores you reported.
What SAT score do you need to get into University of Illinois?
Scoring a 1480 SAT or a 32 ACT or above will nearly guarantee you admission. Because the school admits 62.2% of all applicants, being far above average raises the admission rate for you to nearly 100%. If you can achieve a high SAT/ACT score, the rest of your application essentially doesn’t matter.
